Frequently Asked Questions

Finding the right therapeutic support is a significant step toward balance. Below are some common questions about how I work, the rhythms of our sessions, and how we might begin a nature-informed journey toward clarity together.

What can I expect from our discovery call?

I offer a free initial discovery call (20-30 mins) to help us see if we are a good fit. This is a quiet, grounded space for you to share what brings you to therapy—whether it is emotional intensity, overwhelm, or a life transition—and for us to explore how my integrative style might support you.

Where and how do sessions take place?

I work across several settings to suit your needs:

  • Walk-and-Talk: Held outdoors in the rhythmic landscape of Bromley, Petts Wood, Chislehurst, and Orpington.
  • Online: Video sessions available UK-wide for those navigating identity shifts or burnout from the comfort of their own space.
  • Frequency: We typically meet for weekly 50-minute sessions to build a consistent therapeutic container.
What are your fees?

The cost for an individual 50-minute session is £70. Payments are made via bank transfer prior to our meeting. As part of my commitment to accessible support, the initial discovery call is provided free of charge.

How does your nature-connected approach help?

Being in nature provides a soft landing for difficult feelings. Movement helps ground the body, while the natural world offers metaphors for transition and growth. This integrative perspective is particularly effective for:

  • Regulating the nervous system during periods of high-functioning stress.
  • Finding clarity when navigating spiritual depth or identity shifts.
  • Providing a non-judgmental space to explore alcohol use as a coping mechanism.
How can I get in touch to start?

I invite you to reach out when you feel ready. You can call or message me at 07710 576315, connect via WhatsApp, or email lbarr.therapy@outlook.com. I look forward to beginning our conversation.
