You’ve been carrying so much for so long.
Louise Barr Counselling provides soft support for anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and addiction-related struggles, helping reflective adults navigate their inner worlds.
A quiet, secure environment to process your history and build a stronger sense of identity.
I offer a pluralistic and trauma-informed approach, tailored to your unique journey. We proceed at your comfort level, providing ethical, confidential, and professional sessions at ÂŁ70 online, ÂŁ80 in-person, or ÂŁ95 for walk-and-talk.

Who I help
I support capable, reflective individuals who have shouldered heavy burdens for years. You might be dealing with intense emotions, exhaustion, or chronic stress while maintaining a successful facade. Many clients reach out while struggling with addiction—addressing the cycles of dependency, anxiety, and the emotional overwhelm that fuels them. Others seek guidance when they feel profoundly out of step with themselves or their purpose, navigating a world where their inner needs feel neglected. If you are weary of managing everything alone, I provide a compassionate space where your patterns and feelings can finally be understood and integrated without judgment.

Therapeutic collaborations
Our therapy sessions adapt to your specific goals—whether you are discovering a new self-image, breaking old habits, or seeking physical grounding via nature. These diverse paths lead to one shared destination: helping you feel more balanced, authentic, and emotionally resilient in your day-to-day life and relationships.

A Little About Me
I'm Louise — a BACP registered counsellor who works pluralistically, meaning I don't force you into a template. I seek to understand your specific existence and unique internal world.
I focus on how life feels from your perspective, and we move at a manageable speed. My work is built on warmth, curiosity, and trauma-informed care, using humanistic and existential tools. No pressure, no performance — just a steady, collaborative environment to explore what is happening for you in your current life.
I am here to help you harmonize every side of yourself—from the parts that feel exhausted to those ready to grow. We move at your chosen speed to establish mental clarity.
BACP registered and WPA approved provider.
What to expect
Reaching out is the biggest step. Once you do, the process is clear and supportive.
Step 1 — Reach out. Email or message at any time. There's no wrong way to start.
Step 2 — Free introductory call. We spend 20 minutes connecting. You can ask anything. I'll ask what's bringing you to therapy. It's just a chat to check the fit.
Step 3 — First session. If it feels right, we book a 50-minute session (£70 online, £80 in-person, or £95 walk-and-talk). We'll move at your pace.
There's no formal assessment or complex paperwork. You just need to show up as you are today.
